Board Reporting Process ReviewA regulatory order will bring increased scrutiny regarding board direction and involvement.  Project - Review the current reporting processes and minutes and provide feedback and recommendations
on the materials.

Strategic Planning – Our banking industry and financial experience is ideal to facilitate your strategic planning session.
Project - Coordinate with management and board to develop an outline for the strategic planning session, provide the
resources to support relevant discussions, and condense the results of the session into a plan for review and completion
by the bank. 
An add-on to this project is the development of an implementation strategy and periodic review and
validation of the strategies that are identified and implemented.   

Market Share Analysis - As part of your strategic planning process or as a stand-alone analysis, it will be critical that
the executive team has a firm grasp on where market share has increased and decreased as one of the inputs into your
strategic planning.  This is also essential to determining the effectiveness of your marketing and branding.   
Project -
Perform a city by city market share analysis and look at 5 year, 3 year and 1 year results.  

Regulatory Response Management - The additional reporting requirements of a Consent Order, Written Agreement or Cease
& Desist are very time consuming.
Project - Create a project plan, deliverable requirements tracking log, and a log of
correspondence.  The latter will be critical if capital levels further decline and the risks of FDIC and Shareholder lawsuits
increases. 
An add-on to this project is assisting in the creation of response deliverables.  To be determined on a case by
case basis.

Public Relations & Internal Communication An effective external and internal communication plan is essential to mitigating
customer and employee instability.
 
Project - Assist management and the board in developing a strategic communication
plan including talking points to disseminate the bank’s position internally with employees and externally with community,
customers and media to ensure stability.   

Liquidity Reporting and Contingency Planning – Liquidity management and liquidity contingency planning are under
increased scrutiny. 
Project - Review the current liquidity reports, liquidity monitoring tools, and the liquidity contingency
plan and provide feedback and recommendations on the materials. 

An add-on to this project is to perform a review of the institution’s balance sheet and the impact of falling capital levels
to public funds, correspondent lines, FRB Discount Window & FHLB pledging collateral requirements as well as
brokered CDs, CDARs and online deposits.    

An add-on to this project is educating employees and customers, which is a critical element in liquidity management and reputation management.  To be determined on a case-by-case basis:  Assist in creating internal communications and
training, branch signage, and press releases. 

Department and Vendor Review – Due to increasingly onerous regulatory requirements, there is the need to manage
vendors as well as reporting processes.  There is also the potential to reduce expenses by renegotiating contracts,
changing vendors and combining services into a single contract.  
Project - Develop a report of current vendors by
department.  Report to include monthly cost and contract expiration date.  Work with vendors to reduce monthly
expenses.  During the review, potential outsourced services will be noted and researched for potential cost reductions.  

An add-on to this project is assisting in identifying all areas (compliance, regulatory, audit) to include annual validation requirements and assist management in managing regulatory requirements.

An add-on to this project is an outsourced vendor management program.
